Books we like:

Self Healing Cookbook by Kristina Turner:  This book is absolutely amazing - it is beautiful, simple, uplifting, and empowering.  Kristina has a lovely way of conveying a beautiful way of life through her words and quirky doodles!

The Hip Chick’s Guide to Macrobiotics by Jessica Porter:  Jessica does a really fabulous job of presenting macrobiotics in a way that makes it seem hip — she does Kushi proud!  She lays it all out clearly and with lots of humor and real-world experience to back it up.  Anyone who is serious about going macro in today’s world needs a copy of this book - ours is all dog-earred up!

Complete Vegetarian Kitchen by Lorna Sass:  The recipes in this book have become favorites in all AGAD kitchens!  They are relatively simple, and although this is not a ‘macrobiotic’ book, per se, it presents so many wonderfully wholesome recipes - and of course they can all be adapted to your macrobiotic palate easily.

The Veganomicon by Moskowitz & Romero:  Although this book relies more heavily on “meat and cheese substitutes” more than we do here at AGAD, it has some REALLY good ideas and lots of inspiration for the aspiring macrobiotic home chef!

love, eric & sanae by Eric Lechasseur and Sanae Suzuki:  This book is FULL of really beautiful food — it is our go-to when we are feeling like having something that feels really gourmet and elegant yet healthy and full of good food energy!
